This dish will look appropriate on any festive or everyday table, so if you like these vegetables, feel free to take note of the recipe for such a universal snack. Personally, I prepare such an appetizer quite often, especially during the period when the new tomato crop is ripe, and these vegetables appear in large quantities on the shelves of markets and stores.

    To prepare today's vegetable appetizer, we will need the following products: fresh tomatoes, eggplant, cottage cheese, cheese, garlic, mayonnaise and herbs. In order to emphasize the taste of the dish, do not forget to also add salt, pepper or other seasonings to the filling. Choose this addition based on your culinary preferences, the main thing is not to overdo it with the quantity.

    To prepare stuffed tomatoes, it is best to use juicy and aromatic fruits that are grown outdoors for the season. Such vegetables are also great for preparing canned tomato juice for the winter. From my own experience, I can say that I didn’t like greenhouse products, so I try to avoid them in every possible way when preparing such dishes.

    Once the stuffed tomatoes for the appetizer are ready, let them sit in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving. Any snack will taste much better if it is slightly cool. When prepared, tomatoes have universal taste, so they can be perfectly combined with any other dishes on the table.

    Ingredients:

    • 10 tomatoes
    • 1 medium eggplant
    • 1 head of garlic
    • Ground black pepper
    • 30 g hard cheese
    • 3 tbsp. cottage cheese
    • Mayonnaise
    • Greenery
    • Vegetable oil

    Cooking the dish step by step with photos:

    Bon appetit!

    Stuffed tomatoes for appetizer are very easy to make. All the necessary ingredients are very accessible and very cheap. But, despite their cheapness, such products make not only a tasty, but also a very filling snack. Finally, I want to give a few tips so that your stuffed tomatoes for an appetizer turn out delicious the first time:
    • For cooking, try to use juicy and fresh tomatoes, which, if possible, should not be grown in a greenhouse;
    • The filling for tomatoes can be very different: zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, chicken or pork, cheese, etc.;
    • It is best to season the products prepared for filling with mayonnaise, but if desired, this dairy product can be replaced with full-fat sour cream;
    • Before serving, give the stuffed tomatoes time to cool in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.

    The tomato is rightfully considered the most delicious, most beautiful and healthy vegetable. Tomatoes make excellent fresh salads; they can be stewed, salted, pickled, baked with meat, made into juice and sauces. In addition to all this, tomatoes are great as natural utensils. Believe me, stuffed tomatoes baked in the oven are just a feast for the stomach. And today I offer a very simple recipe for tomatoes with meat and rice.

    Ingredients:

    • 8 pcs. tomatoes
    • 300 gr. minced meat
    • 50 gr. rice
    • 1 onion
    • 100 gr. hard cheese
    • freshly ground black pepper
    • sunflower oil
    • parsley or dill
    • To make our stuffed tomatoes beautiful, we choose ripe but firm medium-sized tomatoes.
    • Wash the tomatoes in cold water, dry them slightly, and then cut off the tops as shown in the photo. We don’t throw away the tops, we will need them later.
    • Using a regular teaspoon, carefully remove the core with the seeds. Usually, if the tomato is ripe enough and the spoon is not very thick, then there are no problems with removing the cores.
    • Salt and pepper the prepared tomato cups. Set aside for a while.
    • You can prepare any filling for stuffed tomatoes, purely vegetable, mushroom, or with meat and rice. For the meat filling, we take good minced meat, either pork or beef or a mixture will do.
    • Boil rice in plenty of water. We salt the water first. Cook the rice until half cooked: 7-8 minutes after the water boils. It is not advisable to cook longer, since the tomatoes will still be baking in the oven, and the rice will finish cooking.
    • Take one medium onion, peel it, and then finely chop it. Lightly fry the onion in a small amount of vegetable oil over low heat. The onion should become soft and transparent.
    • Place the half-cooked rice in a colander, let it cool slightly, and then mix it with the minced meat. Add fried onions.
    • Mix the filling well, add salt and pepper. Let's taste for salt.
    • Cooking tomatoes in the oven

    • Now it's time for the most interesting part. We take our tomato molds and fill them with the prepared filling. Place the filling loosely.
    • We cover each stuffed tomato with the top, which we cut off at the very beginning. If this is not done, the minced meat may dry out and become tough during baking in the oven.
    • Place our stuffed tomatoes on a baking sheet greased with oil. You can use a regular frying pan without a handle.
    • Place the baking sheet with stuffed tomatoes in a preheated oven. Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes at 200°C.
    • A few minutes before our dish is ready, remove the tops and sprinkle the tomatoes with grated cheese.
    • When the cheese has melted and lightly browned, remove our beautiful and aromatic tomatoes stuffed with meat.
    • Place the finished tomatoes on a plate, pour over sour cream sauce, sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve.
