How to cook meatballs from minced rice with gravy in a pan

To save time, first put the rice stew. To do this, rinse it. Pour water into the pot, bring it to a boil. Salt and add rice there. The approximate cooking time is 15-20 minutes (depending on the type of rice).

While the pot is on fire, you can start cooking vegetables for gravy.

Onion cut into cubes, carrot rubbed on a coarse grater. Put all this in a deep plate and leave aside.

We are waiting for rice to cook. You can boil it to full readiness or half ready. Drain the water from it and set aside to cool it.

Step 1: prepare rice.

Step 3: prepare the vegetables.


Meanwhile, using a sharp kitchen knife, peel the onions and carrots and rinse them thoroughly under cold running water. Then dry the vegetables with paper kitchen towels, in turn, lay out on a chopping board and chop. Onion cut into cubes of 1 centimeter, and shred carrots on a large or medium grater.

Step 4: Fry the vegetables.


Then put the pan on medium heat and pour a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil into it. After a few minutes, we put the prepared onion into the heated fat and fry it until transparent, as well as a light golden crust, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula. Once it is reddened, add carrots to the pan and cook them together until soft. Then remove the vegetables from the stove and also cool to room temperature.

Step 5: Cooking minced meat.


After some time, when the rice and roasted vegetables have cooled, we shift them to a deep bowl. Add the assorted mince, a couple of raw chicken eggs, a little more salt, black pepper to taste and a mixture of dried herbs for meat. Mix all with a tablespoon to a uniform consistency and proceed to the next step.

Step 6: Form the meatballs.


Pour about 100 grams of sifted wheat flour into deep dry dishes, roll half a tablespoon of cooked minced meat in it, form a ball a little more than the size of walnut  and lay it on a cutting board or a flat clean plate. In the same way we make other meatballs until the rice-meat mixture is over.

Step 7: Fry the meatballs.


Now we again put a clean pan on the middle fire and pour 6–7 tablespoons of vegetable oil into it, which is about 100 milliliters. We give fat the opportunity to warm up well and only after that we drop the first batch of meatballs into it. Fry kruglyashi from all sides until ruddy, almost dark brown crust.

Tomato sauce

  • carrots - 1 pc
  • onion - 1 pc
  • garlic - 1 - 2 cloves
  • tomato paste - 1 tbsp. spoon with a slide
  • sugar - 1 tbsp. spoon
  • paprika - 1 tbsp. spoon
  • dill
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs

Cooking:

  • meat - 500 gr

Cooking:

  • milk - 1 - 1.5 cups
  • flour - 3 tbsp. spoons
  • butter - 3 tbsp. spoons
  • salt, pepper - to taste

For sprinkling:

  • breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • cheese - 50 gr

Cooking:

1. Prepare minced meat, grind meat, bread and onions in a meat grinder. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Pepper is better to use freshly ground. So our dish will be even more fragrant.

2. With wet hands, form balls of the same small size.


3. Cut the cabbage into small pieces so that each of them has a part of the stalk. It will keep the cabbage leaves together and they will not fall apart with further processing.


4. Put a pot of water on the fire, bring it to a boil and salt to taste. Boil the cabbage in it until half ready, or almost ready. Who likes how. If you like to cabbage slightly crunchy, then use the first option, but if you like soft cabbage, cook until almost ready.
